The power of social media and social websites has taken over our daily lives. Not everyone immediately thinks of blogging as a better way of connecting with people, but in many ways, it is. We all visit blogs much more often than we realize; I began to think about how often I use blogs to find out information, investigate fashion trends, and much more.
The power of blogging is the ability to brand yourself or your blog. Blogs are a great way to immediately connect with an audience and often come with fewer strings attached so that the reader may gain a more accurate view of the blogger or influencers opinions. As many major social media companies eventually run out of new updates and fall out of public favor, blogging never will because it is not one company that controls it. The users are given relatively free reign.

One significant piece of a successful blog, brand, or social media is aesthetic; if people like the way something looks, they are more likely to be interested in it or return to the account again. Many studies have found that blogs are growing in popularity and have also shown how they have evolved. Blogs’ ability to change over time may be why this platform is still around and still so popular. The ability for bloggers to reach a target audience and have things like google targeted ads appear for them can also assist in the circulation of their posts. Social media is also another platform that can promote a blog and drive traffic towards posts.
